We are announcing our

cheaper for you to contact Cranbourne

cost of a local telephone call !

you press the numbers that correlate with the alpha numerical buttons on
your phone for example:

1 3 0 0 4 6 7 7 3 8 4 8

As horse riders in the bush
and living on properties where there are native animals we sometimes
come across animals needing assistance. Now there is a 24 hour
emergency help line.
WildLine is
Wildlife Victoria’s 24-hour emergency telephone service for people
needing help with injured, sick or orphaned wildlife. WildLine
operators are volunteers trained to give advice on what to do with
native Australian animals in need of care. We have an established,
comprehensive system to respond to all manner of wildlife rescue calls
and utilise an extensive network of volunteers, government agencies,
zoos, emergency services, and private commercial operators.
The WildLine number is listed in phone books,
council reference books, can be found on road signs, it is given out by
other animal welfare services including the RSPCA, the Department of
Sustainability and Environment and is kept in the memory of many mobile
phones in case of emergency.
If you need to arrange care for an injured,
sick or orphaned native animal then call WildLine on 0500 540
000.

Have Horse … Will
Travel is a great new Australian website designed by horse riders
for horse riders. The site is all BYO horse –
accommodation, agistment for travellers, trails and transport. Whether
you are wanting to get away on a family holiday and take
your ‘best friend’ with you, go camping for the weekend,
or travelling from ‘A’ to ‘B’ (on the show circuit for
example) and need to know where to stop along the way, this site will
provide it all.
The site was released in
July and is being updated regularly as new information comes to hand.
It offers a ‘make this
your home page’ option so that when you start up your internet browser you
get ‘one click’ access to some of the most commonly used sites such as
ebay, google, white pages, yellow pages, where is, wot if, postal rates,
currency converter etc as well as some great graphics! (the home page
graphic changes monthly to alleviate boredom).
The site developers are
keen to have your feedback so make sure you offer it via their feedback
page – it is your website after all – visit
www.havehorsewilltravel.com.au.
And, if you can't find
what you are looking for they are happy to help locate what you need -
just contact them.

This is an adventure in
Equine Conservation.
Doctor Sheila Greenwell, and Doctor Paul Wynne - Houchin are rural
Veterinarians in Western Australia. Recently, they were alerted to the
plight of a herd of selectively bred horses, which run wild on remote
station country in central Western Australia.
This pastoral area now has new owners and the horses are deemed, " surplus
to requirements". The new owners originally planned to cull all of the
horses.
However, following fruitful discussions the new owners
have kindly granted them permission to capture and relocate this unique
collection of equine stock for ongoing breeding purposes.
